Psychological screening & assessment
Structured screening and assessment to give a clear, grounded picture.
A calm, considered space to think clearly and feel steadier.
Counselling, psychological screening, workplace and trauma support for professionals in Paarl and the Cape Winelands.
Looking after yourself is not a luxury. It is the work that makes everything else possible.
I work with high-performing adults who are carrying more than they let on: stress, change, conflict, loss, or simply a sense of being stretched too thin. My approach is calm and practical — we make sense of what you are experiencing and find the next clear step.
Every relationship begins with an initial screening and supportive conversation, so we can understand what you are experiencing and shape the most useful kind of support.
Structured screening and assessment to give a clear, grounded picture.
Focused, supportive counselling for work-related stress, anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, burnout, bullying, relational dynamics, trauma and grief.
Practical strategies for emotional regulation, and habits that shape day-to-day life.
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® — a neuroscience-based process for anxiety, phobias, PTSD and more.
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® is a neuroscience-based approach that helps reduce intensity linked to trauma, and assists in forming new neural pathways that shape identity and behaviour change.
It works in a distinctive way: defusing the psychological triggers of a symptom pattern before they reach the part of the brain that activates the emotional response. The symptom is then eased or greatly reduced. The approach mirrors the way the brain acquired the difficulty in the first place, therefore it is an entirely natural process.
You do not have to share intimate details of your life or any event you would rather keep private. As with any psychological approach, outcomes vary from person to person. BWRT® offers a structured methodology that may assist individuals in addressing a range of emotional and behavioural challenges.
Developed by Terence Watts (UK) and refined with South African clinical psychologist Rafiq Lockhat. All practitioners are trained through The Terence Watts BWRT® Institute.
